POWERPLANT Project Services Pty Ltd is a privately owned company consisting of designers, draftspeople and project managers. We have established a support network of skilled and accredited support companies within the Electricity Supply Industry that we call on to meet the needs of our clients.
POWERPLANT Project Services is in the unique position of being able to design and develop a solution to meet your needs, and to then source the most competitive price for you from suitably qualified and approved construction companies authorised to carry out electrical work on the network in your area.
This gives you an alternative to have your project completed without having to solely depend on the Supply Authority in your area to help you.
Our charter is simple – to solve problems for our clients as effectively and economically as possible.
We manage construction works for you, we source materials for you (early in the process!), and we liaise with electricity supply utilities on your behalf. We are able to help ensure that your operating costs are kept as low as possible by arranging a review of your energy tariffs.
Our clients include the electricity distribution business owners and operators, such as SP AusNet and Jemena as well as Vicroads, Councils, Road Construction Contractors and business owners and operators from the private sector.
Your needs may be as simple as erecting a new street light or as complex as connecting a new supply to your factory or your residential subdivision. You may need a new powerline or a transformer to connect supply to your property. You may wish to convert existing above-ground wires to underground. You may wish to increase the supply capacity to your property.
POWERPLANT regularly tenders works designed on behalf of our clients to obtain the most economic and effective means of completing your construction project. We have established arrangements with construction providers that allow us to respond quickly to you and to ensure that your project moves forward as quickly as possible. We maintain close relationships with the Network Operators and regularly liaise with them prior to, during, and following completion of turnkey contestable projects.
Our Project Design and Project Management team is constantly growing to meet customer demands. This team is available to assist you with your needs and we have resources at our disposal that can be quickly called upon to prepare design, project management, and construction solutions.
We are equipped with the latest design, drafting, and project management tools to enable us to remain responsive to your needs at all stages of your project.
Watch our Director, Greg Plant, talk about our recent win at the Casey Business Awards. We’re honoured to be recognised for Resilience in the industry.
John Holland was awarded the Mernda Rail Extension from South Morang Station to Mernda, adding approx. 8km of additional rail network inclusive of 3 new premium stations, a driver’s facility and rail stabling yards. As part of the works, major Ausnet Services power infrastructure was required to be relocated across the entire length of the project. Works required included relocation of underground and overhead 22kV & LV lines, street lighting and installing new HV feeds to all stations and new rail traction substations. John Holland engaged the services of Powerplant to undertake Design and Project Management for the relocation of above ground assets, underground assets, and street lighting assets to assist in delivering the project. Through partnering with Powerplant, John Holland achieved relocation of assets on timeframes months ahead of what would normally apply. John Holland looks forward to working jointly with Powerplant across future infrastructure projects.
