The Earthing and Protection Engineer reports to the Manager, Major Projects and Sustainability and is accountable for the leadership and delivery of the Earthing and Protection functions at Powerplant.  The position is accountable for the overall performance of the Earthing and Protection business functions and plays an important role in helping Powerplant to realize its vision to connect customers with intelligent and sustainable infrastructure solutions. 

As a Power Systems Engineer, you will play an integral part in delivering renewable project outcomes across a variety of sustainable energy infrastructure projects. This is a ground floor opportunity for the right candidate to establish and grow the power systems engineering capability within an established electrical engineering business with a proud 25-year history. Your technical experience will enable you to lead grid connection projects including power systems modelling studies and analysis of renewable grid connections for new solar, wind, and/or battery connections to the grid. You will be fully conversant in the grid connection process from concept to commissioning and have exceptional customer/stakeholder management experience to compliment your technical capabilities.

Reporting to the CFO, this exciting role is exposed to all aspects of business finance, accounting and compliance, working alongside the transactional accounts team and requiring a strong focus on customers and service excellence. Key to success in the role will be the ability to identify and capture opportunities to streamline and improve the quality and effectiveness of the systems, processes and services delivered, partnering with operations to support business growth and improved results.
