The team at Powerplant coordinate the design and construction of new electrical infrastructure works, on high voltage cables, transformers, and other such infrastructure assets.
Many new domestic supplies need the ‘New Connections Process’ administered by the Electrical Distribution and Retail Companies, to make a routine connection to allow for electrical supply to be switched on. These connections might normally involve connecting supply to a new house in an electrical service pit, or to connect a simple overhead service wire between a new installation and an existing pole in the roadway outside the new building. Powerplant Project Services does not assist with routine connections – as the Electrical Companies deal with these connections on a day to day basis.
There are some instances, however, where we can help you. These include:
- Arranging for new overhead high voltage powerlines to connect supply to a rural property
- Arranging for transformer upgrades, if these are required to connect your new supply
- Arranging for major underground service cables – perhaps in lieu of a new high voltage powerline, to connect your new supply.
Our company is usually able to arrange for the completion of the above works much sooner than other options that may be available to you.
If your project needs any of these services, please call us or lodge an enquiry.
